DownAndOut[tm] is a screen saver bundle for Mac OS X. When it is activated, DownAndOut presents a black screen on which is displayed a stylized countdown clock, a customizable message that by default displays the time remaining in the countdown, and optionally an image. When the countdown expires, DownAndOut sends 'quit' Apple events to all open applications (except the Finder); it sends a kill signal to the surviving applications; and then logs the current user out.
